Accessing Physical Serial Port Via KVM on Proxmox 1.9


Berikut adalah cara untuk mengakses physical Serial Port melalui KVM yang di install di Proxmox 1.9. Percobaan dilakukan dengan mendeteksi modem WAVECOM via guest(RHEL 5.4) yang di install di proxmox.

Berikut adalah cara untuk mengakses physical Serial Port melalui openvz yang di install di Proxmox 1.9. Percobaan dilakukan dengan mendeteksi modem WAVECOM via guest(debian lenny) yang di install di proxmox.

1. Login ke Host dan assign ke guest yang akan mengakses serial Console.

proxmox:/etc/vz/conf# vzctl set 107 –devnodes ttyS0:rw –save

“107 adalah VMID dari guest (debianlenny)”

proxmox:/var/lib/vz/images/107# apt-get install wvdial

Pada tutorial dijelaskan bagaimana mendeteksi dan mensetting agar bisa menerima sms dan mengirimkan sms via aplikasi web (crm). SMS gateway ini digunakan oleh salah satu client yang berada di Kebayoran Baru untuk mengirimkan & menerima sms.

Dari hasil output diatas maka dipastikan modem berada pada ttyS0

Selama hasilnya tidak OK maka ada masalah dengan cable, coba tancapkan cabut dan tancapkan kembali ke port serialnya dan jalankan command wvdial

Setelah finish maka akan terbentuk dir jdk1.6.0_26 dan copykan direktory ke dir /usr/java/
